STORIES FROM SARAWAK: Bidayuh stories by Heidi Munan

We love Bidayuh Stories, a collection of seven short stories belonging to the Bidayuh oral tradition as told by the elders. Read more about the mysterious stones at Nini Sit, the tree of Siburan, Majag’s Cave or the origin of the honey tree song.

Those folks tales were written by Heidi Munan a post-primary teacher who lives in Sarawak since 1965.  Born in Switzerland and educated in New Zealand, Heidi Munan does research at the Sarawak Museum and regularly contributes to national and foreign newspapers and publications. She is the author of numerous books about Borneo culture and handicrafts.
